Anthony Bourdain comes to Portland this fall

Brash chef, TV star and best selling author Anthony Bourdain performs live at the Cross Insurance Arena on Oct. 9th. Bourdain’s North American tour dubbed “The Hunger” should be a ribald and insightful night of chef talk and fun tales of his culinary capers across the globe.

The host of CNN show “Parts Unknown” picked a good city to expound on trends in dining.

Expect the Emmy winner to deliver an “unyielding, brutally honest monologue reflecting on diverse culture, street cuisine and his travels to lesser-known locations around the world, followed by an open Q&A session.”

Bourdain last performed in Maine in 2011, and his Travel Channel show “No Reservations” supped on bean suppers in Milo, J’s Oysters and Street and Co. the year before.

The tour dovetails with the release of his new cook book, Appetites, out this fall.

Tickets go on sale May 6th at 10 a.m. here.
